Work schedule would be Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. Opportunity to work above FTE when census permits.

Position Requirements:
Associate's degree in Physical Therapy NA License to practice in Illinois or eligibility as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
CPR certified

May be exposed to hazardous materials and life~threatening diseases.
Direct contact with body fluids
Pushing, pulling, lifting, transferring patients. Ability to perform heavy lifting (lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.)
Services provided on weekends and holidays and during early evening hours
Off campus locations
This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Accountabilities:
Performance of treatment in a thorough and timely manner in accordance with established departmental and professional standards and procedures resulting in clinically accurate Physical Therapy plan of care.
Professional development and assistance with clinical education programs.
Participation in CQI programs and /or hospital/system committees, task forces, etc. Stays abreast of clinical and operational developments
Documentation follows guidelines set forth by Accrediting Organization, APTA, Managed Care and Rehab Services Policy and Procedure.
Maintain efficiency of treatment by coordinating activities with other Rehabilitation Service personnel, nursing, medical staff, and other ancillary departments.
Promotes Physical therapy to internal rehabilitation associates, other departments and the community.
If assigned to the Fitness Center, duties also include activities which support programming and other services available at that site.
Other duties as assigned: Therapists assigned to inpatient stroke units receive an initial two (2) hours of stroke education and one (1) hour of annual education.
