Description

We are a prominent and growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Newport Beach and are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant who will contribute to our mission and help us maintain our commitment to excellence.

As a Junior Accountant you will have the opportunity to assist with all aspects of financial operations, including maintaining accurate client accounts, handling billing processes, and supporting day-to-day financial functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting, preferably within a legal or law firm environment. 

Responsibilities:

·         Assist with daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.·         Support client billing processes and ensure timely invoices in accordance with client guidelines.·         Reconcile bank statements and firm credit card transactions.·         Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budget tracking.·         Assist with trust account management and ensure compliance with IOLTA rules.·         Coordinate the disbursement of finalized settlement funds to clients and medical or service providers in a timely and accurate manner.·         Maintain organized financial records and support year-end audit preparation.·         Provide administrative support to senior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications:

·         Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).·         Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.·         Experience in a law firm or legal environment is a plus.·         Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.).·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.·         Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.·         Excellent organizational and time management skills.·         Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
