We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager in Logistics to join our team and drive our logistics strategy forward. 

 

As the Senior Manager, Logistics, you will own all logistics functions within our large production facility. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of materials, products, and information throughout the supply chain. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. An exciting aspect of the role is owning the logistics portion of a multi-year production facility transformation. You will manage the implementation of best-in-class equipment upgrades and ensure seamless operations throughout the transformation process. WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

• Lead and manage the logistics team to ensure efficient and effective support for avionics operations.  

• Develop and implement logistics long-term strategies (3 years) and operational direction to optimize supply chain performance and reduce costs.  

• Primarily focus on tactical and operational plans with short to medium term focus (1-2 years) 

• Oversee inventory management, including quality holds, utilization levels in storage areas, and control of kitted stock to ensure availability of necessary avionics components.  

• Coordinate with and influence internal stakeholders at multiple organization leadership levels to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.  

• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.  

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to logistics and supply chain management.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to support project requirements and timelines.  

• Manage logistics budgets and financial performance, including cost control and reporting.  

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and systems.
