Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM (10-hour shift)
Pay Range: $31.88 – $34.88/hour + $1.25/hour shift differential

Summary

Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Machine Maintenance I role is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of various production machinery and plant systems. This role ensures safe, efficient, and continuous operation of thermoforming equipment, grinders, chiller systems, and other critical components. The position requires a blend of mechanical, electrical, and technical skillsets with a strong focus on safety and GMP compliance.

Essential Job Functions

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), energy isolation, hand safety, hot work permits

  • Fall protection, confined space entry, PPE, electrical safe work practices

  • Hazard communication, machine guarding, and powered industrial trucks

• Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) as required by Quality Assurance

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and work orders with proper documentation

• Install, modify, and repair equipment such as:

  • Thermoforming machines, grinders, chiller systems

  • Servo motors, VFDs, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, motor control centers

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including control circuits and sub-panels

• Perform basic machine shop tasks (grinding, drilling, light metal fabrication)

• Respond to emergency call-in work as needed

• Assist in the relocation or installation of plant equipment

• Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility with cross-functional tasks

• Perform other duties as assigned
