As our new Consultant, you will join at either of the firm’s Irvine or Los Angeles, California office, or Phoenix, Arizona office.    

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting environmental due diligence for industrial and commercial transactions, including standard Phase I Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM standards and custom reports tailored to client-specific needs.
  • Conducting limited environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities, primarily (but not exclusively) in California.
  • Conducting field investigations, including the collection of soil, soil gas, air, and/or groundwater samples under the direction of a registered Professional Geologist or Engineer, and following corporate health and safety standards.
  • Overseeing monitoring well installation, development, and sampling.
  • Providing technical analysis of complicated site contamination and regulatory compliance issues and preparing technical reports that effectively communicate findings.

About you

  • B.S. or M.S. in a relevant engineering discipline (chemical, civil, or environmental) or in a relevant science discipline (geology or chemistry).
  • 2+ years of related experience in conducting Phase I ESAs and/or field investigations would be advantageous but is not essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively (independently and with a team) with multiple project deadlines, prioritize projects, and deliver on tight timelines. Strong analytical skills and proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, sometimes on short notice and dependent upon project requirements.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and must possess a valid Driver’s License and a reliable form of transportation. The successful candidate will need to provide evidence of a safe driving record (MVR) and proof of personal insurance coverage.
