Our fully managed vector database makes it easy to add vector search to AI applications. Since creating the “vector database” category, demand has grown incredibly fast and it shows in our user base. We are a distributed team with clusters in New York, San Francisco, Tel-Aviv, and Manchester.

Job Description

As the Enterprise Product Manager on the database team, you will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams of the Pinecone vector database. Your role is to deeply understand the requirements of our enterprise customers, including their scale, security, and regulatory requirements, to define product requirements that meet their needs, and to work with engineering to build and ship these capabilities.

Your key objective is to drive platform adoption among enterprise customers. You will work closely with customers and our engineering and GTM teams. You will bring a sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurship to your objective of driving platform adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements  and priorities.

  • Write product requirement documents for new capabilities and features.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to build and launch new products and features.

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure timely and high quality execution 

  • Forecast timelines and communicate product strategy and deliverables to company leadership

  • Work closely with all leaders at Pinecone to accelerate our product led growth strategy

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in product management, with at least 3 years working on  highly technical SaaS or cloud infrastructure products.

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related technical field

  • Demonstrated success in an unstructured environment

  • A passion for databases and/or search

  • Experience in a customer-facing role

  • Experience building cloud software infrastructure.
