This position is ideal for a qualified accountant who thrives in a <b>project-based environment</b> and can represent <b>General Ledger (GL) Finance</b> in cross-functional project management meetings. You will ensure that finance requirements are embedded into technical and business designs while driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders.</p><p></p><p>This job role is Office Hybrid - 60% office-based in Leopardstown, Dublin 18; 40% remote.</p><p><b>The Role</b></p><ul><li>Represent GL Finance in cross-functional project management meetings, ensuring finance requirements are understood and implemented.</li><li>Act as a key liaison between finance and other business units during transformation initiatives.</li><li>Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including Group Finance, Tax, Legal, IT, and Internal Audit to deliver project plans</li><li>Support FSCP and US GAAP close processes across the GL finance function</li><li>Identify, develop &amp; implement opportunities for process improvement across finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Drive standardization and automation of finance processes, embedding best practices across the organization.</li><li>Lead and support initiatives to integrate and standardize financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate reporting.</li><li>Manage user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshoot integration issues, and deliver training and ongoing support to end users.</li><li>Maintain a proactive, detail-oriented approach, consistently focused on process improvement, organization, and thorough execution.</li><li>Ensure all processes adhere to SOX compliance standards.</li><li>Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and ad-hoc financial analysis.</li><li>Drive project timelines, manage stakeholders, and contribute to successful delivery of finance-related transformation projects.</li></ul><p><b>To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:</b></p><ul><li>Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).</li><li>1–2 years PQE with strong accounts preparation experience.</li><li>Solid understanding of US GAAP and local GAAP processes.</li><li>Proven ability to work in a project-based environment; <b>project management experience or exposure is highly desirable</b>.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle Financials is a plus.</li><li>Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.</li><li>Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities &amp; deadlines.</li><li>Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, adapting to diverse working environments.</li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-Hybrid</p><p>#LI-MK2</p><p></p><p><b>What ICON can offer you:</b></p><p></p><p>Our success depends on the quality of our people.
