Position Responsibilities:
Develops estimates and Priced Bill of Material (PBOM) estimates from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program
Develops, prepares and validates material estimates and prices
Evaluates requests for proposals, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals
Performs analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Coordinates with cross-functional teams to include engineering, Program Management and supplier management
Develops and substantiates material estimates utilizing various estimating methods
Supports the development of material estimates by utilizing appropriate indices and providing accurate data analysis
Presents material pricing and estimating methods to leadership
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
3+ years of experience with government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., Estimating system manual, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Procurement integrity, Export Compliance) relating to the development of cost proposals
1+ years of experience with any combination of Material Cost Analysis, Material Estimating, Finance, and/or Material Accounting experience
Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
3+ years of experience working with competing priorities
1+ years of experience and an estimating and pricing (or similar) role: building proposals, utilizing pricing systems, and knowledge of estimating and pricing tools and processes including familiarity with FAR, DFAR, and TINA requirements
