Position Overview

We're looking for a strategic and technically proficient Senior Systems Engineer to spearhead system-level engineering activities throughout the entire product development lifecycle. In this role, you will transform customer and stakeholder requirements into comprehensive system specifications, lead integration and verification processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams.

As a technical leader, you'll guide cross-functional teams through critical engineering phases—from feasibility analysis and system architecture to hazard assessments and design validation—all within a regulated environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving projects through disciplined systems engineering methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system and product-level activities including feasibility studies, risk assessments, requirements generation, architectural planning, and verification & validation

• Convert customer and stakeholder input into clear, actionable requirements

• Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve system-level issues, mitigate technical risks, and enhance product opportunities

• Implement Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) practices throughout the development process

• Manage systems integration and reliability planning for both hardware and software platforms

• Provide post-launch support to ensure ongoing product excellence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Systems Engineering or medical device development

• Strong expertise in requirements management, systems integration, and testing

• Strong communication and writing skills

• Detail-oriented approach with focus on continuous improvement

• Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration

• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or Science

• Experience with architectural design and reliability engineering

• Proficiency in failure mode effects analysis (FMEA)

• Advanced knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies

• Experience with statistical test design and analysis

• Project management experience in regulated environments
