Under minimal supervision, the Production Supervisor is an integral part of a project team and provides leadership for aspects of production division issues and responsibilities. Collaborates with design and development. May engage in direct production activities as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manages all aspects of production on projects assigned.

  2. May work under a Project Manager on a larger project.

  3. Works as part of the core project team department Managers, Designers, and Developers to produce budgets and schedules.

  4. Attends and may initiate project planning and track meetings.

  5. Provides direct supervision and training to the production crew - Preps I - III.

  6. Provides a supportive environment for the project team.

  7. Participates in the long and short-range department planning and policies.

  8. Participates in assigning grade 5,6 and 7 positions.

  9. May engage in direct production activities as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required.

  2. Museum experience is essential.

  3. Demonstrate proficiency with shop tools, equipment, and carpentry techniques.

  4. Must have integrated understanding of the work activities of the department.

  5. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or mor
