The pay range is $87,000.00 - $156,000.00

Data & Analytics—Business Insights & Analytics

Behind one of the world’s best loved brands is a uniquely capable and brilliant team of data scientists, engineers and analysts. The Target Data & Analytics team creates the tools and data products to sustainably educate and enable our business partners to make great data-based decisions at Target. We help develop the technology that personalizes the guest experience, from product recommendations to relevant ad content. We’re also the source of the data and analytics behind Target’s Internet of Things (iOT) applications, fraud detection, Supply Chain optimization and demand forecasting. We play a key role in identifying the test-and-measure or A/B test opportunities that continuously help Target improve the guest experience, whether they love to shop in stores or at Target.com.

 
A role with our Digital Analytics and Insights group means being part of a team that enables data-driven decision-making to enhance business performance in the modern retail landscape. As a Senior Digital Analyst, you will leverage data, statistics, and visualization to generate actionable insights that drive value across multiple business functions.

In this role, you will utilize market-leading tools, data automation, and analytical methodologies to support reporting and performance measurement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze trends, optimize digital strategies, and provide clear recommendations for business growth. We are looking for an analytical thinker with hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation, and visualization. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets, building scalable reports, and simplifying complex data to enable efficient decision-making. If you are passionate about analytics, can work independently as well as in a team, and have a keen eye for identifying opportunities through data, you will thrive in our BIA team!

About you:  

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience

• 3+ year as a Data Analyst with strong academic performance in a quantitative field; or strong equivalent experience

• Solid problem solving, analytical skills, data curiosity, data mining, Data creation and consolidation

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams, and translate ideas between them

• Cultivates and maintains positive partners relationships to understand their data needs, provides insights and finds improvement opportunities, and ensures reporting solutions address key objectives

• Builds detailed reports and dashboards using various tools, designs and implements data visualizations to communicate complex data clearly. Prepare data models and analysis to identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for values and new opportunities.
