Certified Surgical Technician - (Full-Time)

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided if not current)

• Experience or training in sterile technique and surgical procedures

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• Physical ability to stand for long procedures and respond in high-pressure environments

Preferred:

• Certification as a Surgical Technician (or related credential)

• 1–2 years of experience in an operating room setting

• Knowledge of instrument sterilization and equipment maintenance

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical equipment and supplies prior to procedures

• Sterilize and arrange instruments according to procedural needs

• Assist the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field

• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

• Accurately count instruments and materials before and after surgeries

• Help maintain cleanliness and readiness of the operating room

• Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure safe patient outcomes
