Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related analytical field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Valid driver’s license
- knowledge of sanitary processing and sanitation best practices including regulatory codes, HACCP programs and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- knowledge of maintenance practices and the disciplines of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles and theories and the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems
- knowledge of power and electrical systems and controls, gas, water and waste water, refrigeration utilities and systems and industrial construction
- Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS-Project)
- AutoCAD software or equivalent software (MicroStation, etc.)
- knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Civil drawing documentation including generating, modifying and reviewing facility and utility designs and plans
- ability to organize, plan and execute large-scale projects from vision through implementation
- excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

- willingness to travel via commercial airline or company airplane, with overnight stays
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering
- 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- knowledge of purchasing practices including Publix’s Terms and Conditions, Supplier and Contractor requirements for insurance, indemnity and confidentiality and Publix’s procurement and accounting processes. (This will require direct involvement with MSP in negotiating large scale capital projects and following the purchasing process to the end.)
- Engineer in Training and/or Professional Engineering Certification
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access
