Department/Organization: 702201 - Sponsored Program Admin

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Post Award Specialist monitors post-award activities of externally sponsored projects supported by the Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP). Reviews, coordinates, and organizes new award set-up to ensure timely action and compliance with regulations that govern multiple aspects of research. Liaise with Principal Investigators, department administrators, and other departments within the Division of Research and Economic Development. Ensures timely award close-out in accordance with federal regulations, UA policies, and award terms and conditions.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience in a business or legal work environment.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, with attention to detail, in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the research life cycle. Aptitude for compliance with federal regulations, sponsor requirements, contract terms and conditions, and University policies.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic research administration systems and the post-award administration of sponsored grants and contracts at an R1 University.
