RAF Coningsby has a diverse selection of Aircrafts operating from its airfield, with Typhoon Aircraft and the historical aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, much of the history of the RAF in the last 70 years can be seen in the skies over Coningsby.

We currently have an opportunity for a Paint Prepper to join our team to support the painting services for the MoD. This role will support the Paint Sprayers in the delivery of Surface Finish in a wide range of supporting tasks, which include surface preparation (abrading, paint stripping, DMS, masking, cleaning, and pre-treatment) and Surface Finish Support duties.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• After initial Surface Finish Tech 3 training, the Tech 3 supports Tech 2 technician in the delivery of SF in a wide range of supporting tasks, which include surface preparation (abrading, paint stripping, DMS, masking, cleaning and pre-treatment) and SF Support duties
• Carrying out a range of basic SF support activities to include abrading, paint stripping, DMS abrasive blasting, masking, cleaning and pre-treatment of substrates requiring paint finishes on MoD assets.
