RF Design Engineer - IPD and Passives on Silicon
DelartAbout the role
About the job
At Delart, we are a team of world-class engineers building the next generation of advanced wireless technologies that are deployed across the globe. Some of the biggest technology companies entrust us to build highly scalable, mission critical, communication and network solutions. Since our founding in 2017, we have participated in designing some of the most cutting-edge telecommunication and consumer products in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end RF module and advanced packaging development, including System-in-Package (SiP) and Integrated Passive Device (IPD) design, from concept to mass production.
- Design, simulate, and validate IPDs and passive components on silicon; liaise with foundries for tapeout and manufacturing.
- Develop advanced RF packaging and module architectures, schematics, and layouts;
- Perform detailed simulation, including RF circuit simulation, 3D electromagnetic (EM) modeling, and thermal analysis, to optimize module and packaging designs.
- Conduct RF lab debug, performance tuning, and validation of modules, IPDs, and SiPs using bench and probe station equipment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and OSAT vendors to meet RF performance requirements at component, board, and system levels.
- Develop test specifications and support factory bring-up for production readiness of RF designs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE) and contribute to the development of RF test specifications.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in RF module, SiP, IPD, and advanced packaging design.
- Proven expertise in IPD design and silicon-based passive components.
- Hands-on experience with RF packaging and module development for consumer electronics or wireless applications.
- Proficiency in simulation tools like HFSS, ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, and Allegro.
- Expertise in RF circuit design, layout, and DFM for manufacturability.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics, including RF filters, power amplifiers (PAs), and low noise amplifiers (LNAs).
- Experience with RF lab equipment such as network analyzers, communication testers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with thermal management tools such as Icepak and Flotherm.
- Experience with foundry tapeout processes and working with OSAT vendors for manufacturing.
- Familiarity with RF system design for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular RF implementations.
