About the role

ROLE SUMMARY

The Director, Global & US Patient Experience Team Lead will focus specifically on identifying and activating global opportunities across the patient journey to improve patient experience and meet Pfizer Oncology objectives. This position is tasked with expanding existing global patient programs and identifying new opportunities to support our patients, our customers, and our business. This individual will collaborate with Global and US Franchise Teams, Country colleagues, ICO, Chief Marketing Office, across Oncology Patient Solutions and Alliances (OPSA) and with various cross-functional colleagues to identify, build, scale, execute, and measure the value of patient opportunities. Additionally, this individual will serve as an ambassador for these programs, representing them on cross-BU taskforces and with senior leadership.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive successful expansion of Patient Engagement Program (PEP), a collection of experiments designed to solve side effect challenges and improve treatment outcomes. Involves liaising with large cross functional teams across brands and markets (Commercial, Medical, Legal, Digital, etc.) as well as being main point of contact for Third Party vendors and collaborators.

  • Partner with team to operate, maintain, measure and share best practices related to the This Is Living With Cancer program. Cross-functional team size may range from 8 to 15 colleagues across Digital, Commercial, Public Affairs, Analytics, Legal and Privacy.

  • Collaborate with team to develop or license new patient-focused programs that support our patients, our customers and our business.

  • Communicate and collaborate with in-market commercial teams to determine fit of new patient-focused initiatives as well as improvements, enhancements and successes of existing programs.

  • Partner with various cross-functional colleagues, such as Analytics, to continuously evaluate how best to measure program value and success metrics.

  • Represent Oncology on cross-BU task forces, specifically pull-through of patient initiatives related to CMO e.g. Pfizer For All and thoughtful integration of AI innovation.

  • Lead the evolution and streamlining of the US and Global Patient Experience operating model, aligning global and US teams to deliver a cohesive, end‑to‑end patient experience across oncology portfolios.

  • Build strong connections in the ICO and align in-market initiatives/programs to ICO leadership goals and priorities

  • People Leadership responsibilities for direct reports who are managing US business priorities and global patient experience strategy execution.

  • Ensure effective collaboration and partnership across Commercial, Digital, and other key stakeholders to drive integrated patient solutions and maximize enterprise value.

  • Guide financial, project, and vendor oversight across patient experience initiatives, ensuring strong stewardship, prioritization, and accountability for outcomes.

  • Foster a culture of mentorship, influence, and leadership development within the patient experience organization

  • Drive adoption of AI innovation in Patient Solutions platforms

  • Work closely across the Oncology Patient Solutions & Alliances team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred

  • At least 8+ years of pharmaceutical marketing and strategy experience in roles of increasing responsibility; 7+ with MBA/MS

  • Patient marketing experience required, including experience outside the US

  • Oncology experience required

  • Executive presence and professional maturity

  • Excellent strategic thinking skills, with demonstrated experience in framing problems and opportunities, setting strategy, translating strategy to execution, and measuring impact

  • Demonstrated proficiency at leading complex multi-faceted projects with both cross-functional and external stakeholders

  • A self-starter, proactively identifying the need for specific analyses and programs, and marshaling the resources to evaluate and resolve the most challenging, strategic issues

  • Ability to influence and establish good working relationships with peers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
