Senior Staff Accountant

Abound Health Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will report to the Controller and serve as a key member of our finance department. You’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting audits and filings for multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all Abound Health companies, including newly acquired entities

Originate all general ledger postings and process manual deposits

Review profit and loss statements prior to month-end to identify and resolve discrepancies, including missed accruals

Support financial, Workers Compensation, and regulatory audits

Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and annual reports

Respond to non-payroll-related government inquiries and notices

Initiate ACH/wires and customer drafts

Uphold and communicate financial policies

Collaborate across departments to resolve financial issues efficiently
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a four-year college

Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and federal/state regulations

High proficiency with Excel and general PC/software skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High level of professionalism and ethical standards

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Comfortable working with confidential information and interacting with multiple levels of management
Compensation & Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $90,000 - $97,000
Base pay is determined by factors such as work location, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include various other forms of pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive health, dental, and wellness benefits, which begin on your 60th day of employment.
