Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by providers and management.
- Assist with treatments, including skin cancer reconstructions, acne treatments, biopsies, warts, rashes, suture removals, and cosmetic injectables (Botox, Fillers).
- Escort the patient to and from the exam room, and help the patient prepare for the exam.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.
- Assist physicians during exams/procedures in providing quality care to patients.
- Scribe office visit.
- Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients and respond to patient questions in the office/on the phone as needed
- Document all medical instructions given to patients.
- Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
- Medical Assistant training is required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
- Prior dermatology and cosmetic experience is required.
- Knowledge of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-10
- Knowledge of cosmetic products, procedures, and terminology
- Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette.

- Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
