Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

• Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by providers and management.
• Assist with treatments, including skin cancer reconstructions, acne treatments, biopsies, warts, rashes, suture removals, and cosmetic injectables (Botox, Fillers).
• Escort the patient to and from the exam room, and help the patient prepare for the exam.
• Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.
• Assist physicians during exams/procedures in providing quality care to patients.
• Scribe office visit.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Educate patients and respond to patient questions in the office/on the phone as needed
• Document all medical instructions given to patients.
• Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.

Education:

• High School Diploma required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior dermatology and cosmetic experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-10
• Knowledge of cosmetic products, procedures, and terminology
• Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
