Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Jackson Bluff Dam is looking for a self-motivated park service professional to fill an OPS Secretary Specialist position. This applicant must possess strong administrative skills, ability to work independently and understand budget tracking. This position part time up to 28 hours per week.
This position assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing all administrative activities involved in the Jackson Bluff Dam operation. Performs fiscal, purchasing, and budget tracking duties for the facility. Maintains computerized budget tracking system and reconciles with FLAIR. Provides related budget reports to District office. Assists in the planning and administration of facility contracts, use agreements and permits. Processes requisitions, bids, and p-card transactions.
Performs and directs data entry required to maintain records. Maintains the Dam’s archival and resource files. Prepares and processes paperwork relating to personnel activities to include selection and recruitment, employee relations, and travel.
Develop management reports and summaries for use in making management decisions and planning activities and services. Assists in assuring compliance with current division policies, procedures, and programs. Oversees and assists in training staff in proper administrative procedures and practices. Provides recommendations to District office for processes and procedures which will promote efficiency and simplify administrative functions. Attends meetings and training sessions and represents the Dam at meetings with division representatives, other agencies and organizations. Processes technical correspondence, investigates subject matter and prepares replies. Maintains property and fleet records for Jackson Bluff Dam. Performs other related duties as required.

Compliance with the processing requirements of Chapter 215.422, F.S. are mandatory. Persistent failure to
comply with this section by any agency of the state shall constitute good cause for discharge of employees duly found responsible, or predominantly responsible, for failure to comply.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Administrative principles and practices

SKILLS IN:
- Use of office equipment including computers and related software including Microsoft Office Suite
