Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW (FULL-TIME)

You will spearhead and drive the Makeup axis & Retail Excellence animations in the US market while guaranteeing the company’s strategy & brand image. You will lead the Operational & Trade Marketing planning including strategy, 360 marketing activation adaptation, forecasting, budget, marketing presentations, toolkit & collateral development, and coordination with Supply & Field teams to ensure flawless implementation and to elevate the brand. You will deliver recommendations for your axis and provide support to the US teams, as well as reporting to HQ teams.

This position works in the Marketing team, in close collaboration with two Marketing team members in charge of Skincare and Fragrance. The role requires the ability to liaise and communicate internally with the HQ teams based in Paris and with various departments such as Merchandising, Education, Digital, Retail, Legal and Finance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Makeup Category Management:

          - Adaptation of the 360 Makeup action plans for the US market.

          - Monitoring of the annual marketing calendars to ensure alignment with HQ and US launch synergies.

          - Novelty forecasts & product allocations.

          - Definition of the launch distribution, assortment, and follow-up with Supply teams.

          - Local production of tools (eg retailtainment activities, leaflets, retailer booklets, visuals, local sets).

          - Internal communication about new launches, novelty performances, animation plans & pricing.

          - Preparation of the Makeup retailer presentations.

  • Retail Excellence:

- Spearhead the Sampling & Gifting (GWP) strategy.

- Responsible for budget and follow-up of samples & GWP expenses.

- Participation in the preparation of Retail events with the Retail & Education teams.

- Production of Clienteling tools (SMS, MMS, Collaterals etc).

  • Visual Merchandising:

- Provide the Visual Merchandising team the input on franchise priorities, Makeup planograms and visuals, as well as guidance for any Trade animation designs and tool development.

- Close collaboration with the Merchandising and Supply teams to ensure the right forecasts and implementation of the festival designs and displays in stores.

  • Reports & Analyses:

- Weekly: HQ newsletters, Competition newsletters.

- Monthly: HQ Sell-out reports, Ad-hoc post-launch reports, Reports to the HQ Head of Retail Marketing.

- Quarterly: Competition reports and analyses.

- 2x per year: Budget preparation.

  • Others:

- Set clear, achievable KPIs and stay laser-focused on ROI.

- Follow up the budget spending and planning with the Finance team on a regular basis.

- Maintain a strong understanding of competitor activity within the competitive Beauty landscape.

        - Conduct all other job-related activities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing within beauty, luxury, or consumer products industry.
