Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - Early Career in Sunnyvale, CA. Classified Cybersecurity ISSOs help secure lifesaving products and critical state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing systems by applying cutting edge cybersecurity principles. Rising to the challenge of building a more secure world for the warfighter, space exploration, climate sustainability and commercial use.

Key Responsibilities of this role includes:
- Support day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
- Carry out technical administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
- Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
- Auditing is a large part of this role’s responsibility

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related from an accredited college
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II/IAM Level I certification (Security +) within 6 months of hire
• Must be a US Citizen. Position requires clearance

Desired skills

• Information Systems auditing understanding
• Knowledgeable of operating system security requirements
• Hands on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools
• Knowledge of network security (e.g., encryption, firewalls, authentication, perimeter protection).
• Knowledge of network design processes, to include understanding of security objectives, operational objectives, and trade-offs.
• Knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), classified computer operations and experience with the technical configuration requirements for various operating Systems
• Demonstrated experience executing Security Hardening on diverse LINUX and Windows Operating Systems based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs.
• Advanced knowledge of with Risk Management Framework (RMF) as Subject Matter Expert (SME)
implementation across multiple phases of a large program.
• Demonstrated technical experience configuring Windows, Networking, and NIX-based operating systems IAW DISA STIGs
• In-depth experience in system hardening, analysis, and vulnerability management
• Knowledgeable in Solaris/UNIX/Linux command line
• Experience implementing complex technologies at multiple classification levels within large environments and at an Enterprise level
