About the role

The Director of Springett Technology Center (STC) will oversee all day-to day operations at our local hub for innovation. This role involves leading a talented team in testing new products and technologies before they are commercially used. The Director will ensure that all processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and oversee the day-to day operations for all departments at our Springett Technology Center. 
  • Lead a high-caliber team in testing new products and technologies before they are commercially used while ensuring developmental targets are met and exceeded. 
  • Collaborate with other departments and/or assigned operations teams to optimize, align, and strategically improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop, integrate, and improve internal STC initiatives while aligning with business objectives/priorities.
  • Collaborate and engage with internal and external customers.
  • Execute on STC plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Align STC’s efforts to support production and operational KPIs.
  • Communicate all STC efforts to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring that those stakeholders are given opportunity to provide input.
  • Develop and manage budget for Springett Technology Center. 
  • Must adhere to all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including the process map, support processes, health, safety, and environmental requirements for example.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field preferred, and/or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale process improvement initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of ERP system operation and function
  • Prior drilling experience
