Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Behavioral Health CME Consultant.

Position Status: Full-time, Days

Standard Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:00pm (EST)

This position is remote only in Virginia.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's level degree

• 3 years of related experience (behavioral health, conference/event planning, health care events)

Job Description:

The CME Consultant role is part of the Sentara Health Physician Education Department and will be responsible for system-wide Behavioral Health continuing medical education and continuing educational unit (CME/CEU) activities. The purpose of this consultant role is to facilitate accredited education for physicians and licensed/unlicensed therapists two times per month. They will develop and oversee Behavioral Health educational offerings across all markets with a focus on activity planning and development. This role will participate in the Behavioral Health Learning Committee and work closely with the service line and activity physician course director to design, develop, and implement educational offerings which meet the accreditation needs of licensed and unlicensed therapists throughout the system. They will form partnerships and develop relationships with service line leaders, and the physician course director. This role is a subject matter expert and is responsible for meeting continuing medical education accreditation requirements, coordination of speakers, and activity planning.
