The Opportunity
Our location in Portsmouth, VA currently has an opportunity for a Warehouse Specialist. In this role, the individual will be responsible for receiving incoming freight and inventory management of lab supplies.
Shift:
Monday to Friday
8:00 am-4:30 pm
What you'll work on:
Act as an area lead, leading a team of 4-6.
Support Warehouse Manager in space planning and forecasting for inventory.
Overseeing and leading the training of the picking team on ERP systems and replenishment according to procedures.
Reads picking sheets before handling/picking items.
Pick Items accurately according to customer specifications documented on the picking sheets.
Meets department goals for zero picking errors.
Operates a manual rolling cart to move products throughout the warehouse during the picking process.
Assists team members in picking, staging, loading, unloading, rotation, and storage of products.
Pick the proper lot# and expiration date as the picking sheet directs.
Ensure all notes on the picking sheet are read and understood.
Records all damage per Company policy and handles damage/dents as they happen.
Coordinate material transactions between the warehouses and other departments.
