The Opportunity   

Our location in Portsmouth, VA currently has an opportunity for a Warehouse Specialist. In this role, the individual will be responsible for receiving incoming freight and inventory management of lab supplies.  

  

Shift:  

Monday to Friday  

8:00 am-4:30 pm  

  

What you'll work on:   

• Act as an area lead, leading a team of 4-6.   

• Support Warehouse Manager in space planning and forecasting for inventory.   

• Overseeing and leading the training of the picking team on ERP systems and replenishment according to procedures. 

• Reads picking sheets before handling/picking items. 

• Pick Items accurately according to customer specifications documented on the picking sheets.  

• Meets department goals for zero picking errors.  

• Operates a manual rolling cart to move products throughout the warehouse during the picking process.  

• Assists team members in picking, staging, loading, unloading, rotation, and storage of products.  

• Pick the proper lot# and expiration date as the picking sheet directs.  

• Ensure all notes on the picking sheet are read and understood.  

• Records all damage per Company policy and handles damage/dents as they happen.  

• Coordinate material transactions between the warehouses and other departments.  

• Work with Inventory Control to complete cycle count activities and physical inventory counts. Stocking and inventory management of suppli
