As a data engineer, you have the chance to develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that make this data meaningful. What’s more, you’ll have the chance to help grow Booz Allen’s DataOps capabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, data scientists, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone like you to work with our clients and meet their mission by keeping warfighters safe and operational to meet the mission.  

This is an opportunity to support data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the Federal Government and DoD. Driving data models to support mission requirements, you’ll have the chance to architect data repositories, stand up data platforms, and write custom code for data ingestion, transformation, and aggregation. From performing analytical exploration and examination of data to leading the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms, you’ll guide your clients to solve their most pressing challenges. Ready to help drive innovation using cutting-edge data tools and techniques?

You Have:

• Experience with extract, transform, and load procedures

• Experience with database development and architecture design

• Experience coding in R or Python

• Experience with SQL-based query construction

• Ability to leverage expertise in data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving work 

• Ability to apply critical thinking to a wide variety of problems

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a Technical field by Fall 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with Vector databases

• Experience with Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

• Experience with AWS cloud or other cloud hosting environments

• Experience using GitHub for software development management

• Pursuing a Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
