Human Resources Department
The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as New Site Development, Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Tech & Systems, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our HR team is distinguished by its proactive and strategic approach. Unlike in many organizations where HR functions are limited to administrative oversight, our HR professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our HR team can align long-term organizational sustainability with innovative HR practices and cost-effective strategies. This alignment ensures that our workforce is engaged, motivated, and equipped to contribute to the company's success. Each member of our HR team plays a pivotal role in making high-impact decisions, resulting in a more dynamic and productive work environment.
Position Overview
This role ideally is based in our Ashburn, VA (Sterling, VA) Data Center location.
The Director, People Experience for North America, you will act as the central point of contact for leaders, partnering with key functional groups within HR, including Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development, to drive and implement people team initiatives. Your role is pivotal in aligning human capital strategies with business goals through a focus on organizational design and change management. You will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the company by facilitating effective leadership and organizational transformation across the region.
This role must ensure alignment and application of best practices throughout the region, collaborate with other regions to ensure consistencies across Vantage where possible, help define and build an employee experience strategy that focuses on career development and an effective employer branding initiative. Priorities include managing organizational change and integration, supporting culture and engagement, organizational development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, performance management, organizational design, change management, retention practices, and employee awards and recognition.
Essential Job Functions
HR Business Partnering:
- Serve as the primary HR Business Partner to assigned functional groups, driving and implementing people strategies in collaboration with HR partners such as Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development.
- Act as the central point of contact for leaders to ensure alignment and ownership of People Experience initiatives, enabling them to effectively drive business results.
Organizational Design & Change Management:
- Lead the development and execution of organizational design and change management initiatives that support the company’s strategic objectives.
- Support leaders in driving organizational change, guiding them through transformations that enhance efficiency, culture, and employee engagement.
- Monitor and respond to trends in organizational design and change management, ensuring the company remains proactive in addressing challenges and opportunities in the evolving business landscape.
