Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. 
  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

• Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting processes, sourcing methodologies, interviewing techniques, and candidate assessment practices.

 

• Knowledge of recruiting strategies for commission-based, independent contractor, or field sales populations.

 

• Ability to develop and maintain talent pipelines across multiple geographic markets.

 

• Strong relationship-building and consultative skills with sales leaders and candidates.

 

• Experience using applicant tracking systems, CRM tools, and recruiting technologies.

 

• Ability to interpret recruiting metrics and use data to drive decisions and improve outcomes.

 

• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.

 

• Knowledge of employment laws, recruiting compliance requirements, and hiring best practices.

 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office business applications.

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of professional job related experience
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Admin, HR, Marketing, Sales, or related field
  • Experience recruiting insurance agents, sales professionals, financial services representatives, or independent contractor talent
  • Insurance industry recruiting experience  

 

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle recruiting for independent contractor (1099) insurance sales agents and other assigned sales positions.
