ELOP Site Manager Job Description
Summary
Reporting to the Principal, the site based position, the Manager of the Expanded Learning
Opportunity Program (ELOP) at MSA provides leadership and management to the expanded
learning programs to promote the educational goals and objectives of MPS in concert with state
and federal mandates in grades TK-12 at the school site. The Manager works closely with
school site principal, MPS ELOP coordinator and staff to ensure that effective before-school,
after-school, weekend, intersession, and summer programs are provided to all students at MPS.
The ELOP Site Manager will collaborate with school site leadership to design, develop,
implement, and manage the programs including recruitment, training, reporting, and
compliance.


Essential Job Functions
1. Make programmatic decisions based on the school site needs that align to and integrate
with the educational goals and objectives of MPS and MSA.
2. Design, implement and supervise site based Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs
on the weekends (ELOP) to ensure a Safe and Supportive Environment including the
development of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) skills are provided to all
participants
3. Support school administration in the planning, implementation and management of
summer school
4. Oversee and support after-school provider with the successful implementation of before
and after-school programs that align with the State Expanded Learning 12 Quality
Standards
5. Plan and oversee the successful implementation of Saturday School and programming
that occurs on the weekend such as but not limited to STEAM Expo, MathMatters, etc.
6. Assist school administration with the planning, implementation and execution of summer
school
7. Coordinate with after-school provider with the organization and successful
implementation of intersession programming
8. Oversee the planning and execution of all after-school events such as Fall Festival,
Holiday Festival, etc.
9. Ensure successful implementation of the MPS-wide Expanding Learning programs
(Robotics, Advanced Math, Journalism, Academic Competitions, College Mentorship,
Science Olympiad, etc.) at school site
10. Ensure the ELO-Programs are inclusive and maintain Diversity, Access, and Equity.
11. Assist with the hiring and evaluating of Quality Staff that are aligned with MPS’s Vision,
Mission, and Purpose
12. Help maintain, develop and improve Collaborative Partnerships regarding the
ELO-Programs to supplement the improvement of academic and enrichment offerings.
13. Responsible for data analysis of ELOP program objectives and outcomes to assist with
the academic success of students

14. Ensure collection and reporting of attendance and other data needed for compliance and
timelines
15. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Knowledge of:

  • Planning, organization, and direction of CDE Expanded Learning programs and services.
  • Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, grant requirements, and procedures related to expanded learning and other assigned areas.
  • Policies, goals, and objectives of expanded learning programs and activities.
  • State, local, and regional resources.
  • The framework for High Quality Expanded Learning Programming.
  • Multi-Tiered Systems of Support processes and practices.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Board and charter school policies, procedures and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Three (3) years of successful implementation of Expanded Learning programming or related experience (preferred)
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
