Essential Functions
- Prepares and issues applications for pesticide licenses.
- Performs complex, specialized assistance for records processing for the pesticide licensing, pesticide product registration and Nursery Programs.
- Gathers and proofs documentation for licensees' information and verifies accuracy in the Licensing system. Makes updates to system records, as necessary.
- Maintains appropriate files and records for the bureau including but not limited to up-to-date insurance certificates and applicator statuses in the software system.
- Communicates with the public, applicants, and bureau field staff in providing policy and regulations regarding the Illinois Pesticide Act and Insect Pest and Plant Disease Act.
- Serves as a receptionist for the section and/or bureau.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
- Requires two years of office experience.
