The Opportunity 

The Nova team deals with our open source intelligence database tools for our customers.  The underlying technical challenges to enable these tools are at least as difficult if not more.  The team needs another strong engineer to contribute to these solutions.  Our engineers get direct feedback from our customers and are able to react for high-impact results.  We provide the tools to configure the benefits of Flock and, therefore, provide lots of growth opportunities for our engineers to expand their skills in multiple areas

The Skillset 

• Love writing code and continue learning to do it better

• A resourceful problem-solver who excels in ambiguous situations, taking initiative to define challenges, create viable solutions, and implement them effectively

• Desire to grow your role and directly influence the growth of a young company

• Excited about working on a fast-paced, constantly evolving product

• Familiar with Typescript / Javascript (Node) as web services in addition to general API design

• Confident in a modern web framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc).  We leverage React with Typescript / Javascript 

• Familiarization with relational databases. 

• Experience in leveraging SQL to access and synthesize customer data residing in legacy relational database systems.

• Familiar with Docker and how to run locally and deploy remotely via Helm to Kubernetes

• Familiar with AWS and have used some managed services like S3, API Gateway, SQS, etc.

• Familiarization with modern ETL tools like Prefect, Dagster, Luigi, Airflow

• Familiarization with writing ETL automation in python
