Manager Clinical Services - Youth Justice - 978172

Duties

To provide high level professional leadership to and ensure the effective management of the Clinical Services team. Utilising high level practice expertise oversee and deliver clinical services for the assessment, support and rehabilitation of young people in contact with youth justice services.

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight

76 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.

• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: Conviction checks in the following areas: a) crimes of violence b) sex related offences c) serious drug offences d) crimes involving dishonesty e) serious traffic offences
• Disciplinary actions in previous employment check.
