The Learning Technology Senior Consultant is a key member of the Learning & Development team, responsible for managing and optimizing IU Health’s learning systems and technologies. You will serve as the technical expert for platforms such as Oracle Learn, LinkedIn Learning, VR, AI, and reporting tools like Power BI and Python. Your role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex learning systems that support large-scale datasets, ensuring systems operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational goals.You will lead troubleshooting, system maintenance, user management, and system integrations, providing operational support and strategic guidance. Your expertise will help drive continuous innovation in learning technologies, leveraging AI analysis and data reporting to support the organization’s development initiatives.Key Responsibilities

The Learning Technology Senior Consultant is a key member of the Learning & Development team, responsible for managing and optimizing IU Health’s learning systems and technologies. You will serve as the technical expert for platforms such as Oracle Learn, LinkedIn Learning, VR, AI, and reporting tools like Power BI and Python. Your role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex learning systems that support large-scale datasets, ensuring systems operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational goals.You will lead troubleshooting, system maintenance, user management, and system integrations, providing operational support and strategic guidance. Your expertise will help drive continuous innovation in learning technologies, leveraging AI analysis and data reporting to support the organization’s development initiatives.Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of IU Health’s learning systems, including LMS, content management, and social learning platforms.
- Design and support complex learning journeys, curriculums, and user experiences within a large, matrixed organization.
- Oversee user account management, system security, and compliance to protect data integrity.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts involving vendors and support teams to resolve system issues promptly.
- Use advanced data analysis tools such as Power BI, Python, or R for large-scale dataset reporting and insights.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics that inform learning initiatives and organizational development.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure system performance aligns with Service Level Objectives.
- Support integration of AI and emerging technologies into learning platforms to foster innovation.
- Provide guidance and best practices around instructional design, user experience, and adult learning principles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics, Computer Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of LMS administration and support experience, with a focus on large, complex organizations.
- Experience with BIRT Design/Development, SQL Server, and Crystal Reports is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of database management, logic workflows, and eLearning standards (SCORM, AICC, xAPI).
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions and data analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with HTML, HTML5, and editing tools; knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
- Experience supporting large-scale programs, including learning paths, curricula, and user journeys.
- Project management skills, including familiarity with Agile methodologies, are a plus.
- Deep understanding of digital instructional design, adult learning principles, and user-centered design.
