United Health Services is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to join our Orthopedics 02 department at Vestal Ortho in Vestal, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

$17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Under the direction of the Medical Director and/or Nurse Manager, this position’s primary function is to process referral requests, obtain authorization for medical services and/or admissions, and coordinate all aspects of the admission process if applicable. The responsibilities of the Patient Services Coordinator include data entry of referrals and authorizations, verification of eligibility and daily communication with insurance companies. The Patient Service Coordinator works closely with the clinical team and medical providers to provide care for our patients in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years experience working in healthcare
• Two (2) years experience working in customer service

Preferred:

• Knowledge of insurance referral process
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Basic computer skills; EHR, Excel, Microsoft Office
