JOB PURPOSE:
Wyoming Outdoor Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality (WORTH) Initiative: Summer Research Assistant
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Wyoming Outdoor Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality (WORTH) Initiative is continuing its partnership with the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board (JHTTB) in support of their Sustainable Destination Management Plan (SDMP). The SDMP is a five-year plan intended to ensure that tourism remains a positive force for the people, the environment, and the economy of Teton County. The WORTH Initiative is partnering with the JHTTB as part of its efforts to support the outdoor recreation, tourism, and hospitality industries in Wyoming through applied research, educational projects and services, and extension.
The WORTH Initiative is seeking two (2) summer research assistants to administer intercept surveys to help assess visitor sentiment regarding their experience in Teton County. Research assistants will conduct visitor intercept surveys for 6 weeks in July-August 2024. Lodging and transportation will be provided by the University of Wyoming. Research assistants will be responsible for professional conduct and proper data collection; training will be provided upon hiring. Research assistants will work up to 40 hours each week and will be provided with a per diem for food.

HS Diploma
