In this Proposal Manager (Intern) role, you
will work alongside our Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Acquisition/Proposal Leads, focusing primarily on future efforts/contracts and acquisition strategy, to evolve program needs into a fully defined, on-contract project with the U.S. Government. This may involve any phase of an acquisition lifecycle from pre-coordination of technical scope/requirements, developing Program Management Estimates (PMEs), Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs) and Proposals, and/or supporting negotiations. This Proposal Manager (Intern) position requires close coordination of technical and schedule requirements with internal Lockheed Martin Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The Proposal Manager (Intern) must be able to work effectively in fast paced and dynamic environments, learn across all business functions, and support Staff level assignments.

Basic Qualifications

· Currently enrolled in a Business Focused Program or similar major.
· Strong organization, analytical, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
· US Citizenship

Desired skills

· Basic understanding of acquisition/proposal processes and evaluation
· Experience in project management, finance, systems engineering, and/or new business efforts
· Proactive
· Able to develop strategic process improvement for the assigned team and look for ways to implement in the organization.
· Ability to manage escalations and appropriately
communicate to all stake-holders
· Experience giving presentations
