Accountant - Eddy Senior Care - Troy, NY - FT Days

Narrative: Located at 433 River Street in Troy Eddy Seniorcare is seeking an accountant to join our Finance Department.

• This position is responsible for reviewing coding and approving all claims/invoices in the accounts payable system.
• Works with vendors and medical offices regarding billing and payment discrepancies and eligibility.
• Processes daily mail and prepares claims to be entered into our EMR to determine amount to be reimbursed.
• Assists with entering claims into EMR as needed.
• Sets up new vendors in EMR and Accounts Payable.

Eddy Seniorcare is a NYS program for all-inclusive care for the elderly that serves participants in the Albany/Schenectady region. This is an hourly 40-hour position with routine hours of 8:30-5pm.

Requirements:

• A minimum of an associate's degree in accounting/business but a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Prior experience in a medical office helpful but not necessary

Experience Requirements:      

• One to Two years financial experience preferably with experience in healthcare. 
• Excellent accounting skills and demonstrated competency with PC and mainframe systems.

Pay range: $20.20-$27.15

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
