Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal in Southeast Texas (near Sabine Pass, in Port Arthur) with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. At full capacity, the facility will include two natural gas liquefaction trains capable of producing, under optimal conditions, up to approximately 12.4 million tonnes per annum for export around the world.
Job Summary:
Project is seeking a Logistics Specialist that will be based in Houston, Texas and supporting the Port Arthur LNG project. Position will be responsible for performing domestic and international multi-leg shipments in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery and receipt of goods to meet project requirements. In addition, position will assist the project logistics lead with shipment tracking, performance metrics, audits, and logistics studies to ensure project requirements are met.#LI-CS1
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performs domestic, international multi-leg and complex specialized shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements.
- Performs work as a Logistics technical or commercial role supporting a moderate sized project with moderate scope as a deployed, dedicated resource in the home office or field
- Ensures entry of shipment tracking data into Oracle Transportation (OTM) to provide visibility shipment status.
- Assists in preparation of logistics reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements.
- Ensures audit and processing of Logistics Service Provider invoices in accordance with project procedures.
- Assists in identifying transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of Logistics Service Providers
- Assists the project Logistics Lead as requested.
- Assists with filing and resolution of Logistics Service Provider claims.
- Assists with preparation of Logistics Service Provider commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations and contract documents.
- Assists with preparation of logistics studies including site and Logistics Service Provider facility visits.
- Integrates safety requirements and measures in all Logistics activities.
