About the role

Key Lime Interactive (KLI) seeks a qualified and dynamic junior-to-mid User Experience Researcher to join our incredible team!

 

We are known for helping Fortune 500 companies understand their user’s needs by mapping out their customers’ journeys, developing behavioral personas, usability testing, and co-designing new products with the user top of mind using proven research methodologies.

The User Experience Researcher supports various research projects, including higher-impact/priority projects, end-to-end syndicated reports, and leading small studies. Below is a list of primary responsibilities for this position. Additional responsibilities not listed below may be required on an as-needed basis. The Researcher must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance to KLI. Those areas are outlined below.


The salary offered depends on experience, skill set, candidate's location, and performance during the interview process (if chosen to proceed).


May be required to occasionally work irregular hours, nights, and weekends as required.


General Accountabilities:

Project Related Tasks (90%+):  

As a User Experience Researcher, you are expected to: 

  • Provide full support on higher-impact/priority projects, end-to-end syndicated reports, and lead small studies

  • Co-Create Case Studies after each project

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance to KLI, including but not limited to: 

    • Identifying and selecting 3rd party vendors

    • Identifying and selecting participants

    • Creating drafts of study materials


In this role, you will work on these skills: 

  • Honing analysis skills, e.g.,  (1) Demonstrate ability to “analyze” the data (not simply reporting data) (2) Ability to cohesively organize the data so that most salient data is reported by severity (3) Ability to identify contextually relevant best practices

  • Supporting role (“legwork”), being comfortable with recruiting, note-taking and moderating some sessions

  • Refining skill set and growing exposure to various methodologies

  • Leading QuickInsights


From a UX tooling perspective, you should be:

  • Familiar with the main tools used in research (e.g., Optimal Sort, UserZoom, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Validately, dScout, Experience Fellow, etc.)

  • Start learning how to use complex tools (i.e., iMotions, Tobii, etc.) for specific methodologies such as biometrics, eye-tracking, VR, etc 


Thought Leadership (~5-10%): 

  • Complete quarterly rocks on time

  • Submit a minimum of one blog article per quarter (min 4/year)

  • Attend and participate in Key Lime or Usability events when asked


Sales Support (~3%):

  • Research the profile 

  • Put together sales and marketing materials 

  • Ability to contribute to proposal research 

  • Ability to be part of sales meetings with prospects


Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field

  • Minimum Experience: 1-2 Years in a User Experience role

  • Preferred Education: Master's Degree, preferred fields of education: Statistics, Human Factors, HCI, Industrial Engineering, Anthropology, Social Psychology, Marketing (Research) or MBA. 

  • Preferred Experience: 2-3 Years in a UX role, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
