POSITION SUMMARY: Directly supervise electrical personnel and ensure adherence to work policy and rules (safety, environmental, operations, etc.). Assist with the planning of electrical job functions in the plant in accordance with scheduling needs. Supervise and ensure execution of electrical job tasks as planned or as introduced into the schedule. Communicate and coordinate job plans effectively with all plant departments. Assist with the development and implementation of electrical/instrumentation preventive maintenance procedures and reliability program. Assist and lead automation and technological advancements of the plant equipment and controls.
Safety, environmental compliance and production quality/performance
Integrate plant initiatives and goals with regional objectives.
Ensure a safe work environment and regulatory compliance with all federal, state, local regulations in cooperation with LNA policies.
Diligently pursue and act immediately to improve safety, environmental compliance, and production quality/performance in the operational processes.
Maintain Electrical Systems
Supervise electricians to optimize utilizing electrical, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant electrical control and instrumentation equipment.
Assist in contractor supervision with the Maintenance Team.
Assist in the development and implementation of an Electrical\Instrumentation Reliability Program.
Partner with Automation to develop, design and implement process control system reliability initiatives to support Advanced Process Control Systems.
Project lead and plan on local electrical projects within the plant facility.
Interface with production and the quarry teams to support, design and implement process and material handling controls and instrumentation.
Continuously improving instrumentation, calibration, and controls.
Specific training in PLC’s and Instrumentation preferred.
Work with other engineers, maintenance, quality and operations to design and implement improvements in controls and equipment.
Support and implement automation upgrades and corporate process control strategies.
Assist in coordination and oversight, completion, and implementation of plant computerization projects.
Support design, program, specify, purchase and oversee installation of electrical systems in the plant.
Support maintenance and programming of Intouch, InSQL, SPC and create document instructions for Wonderware Software or other support software for maintenance programs.
Other
Participates and conducts company safety meetings and safety awareness initiatives with direct reports and other plant personnel.
Lead team meetings on a daily basis to ensure proper line out of daily expectations.
Perform other duties assigned.
Safe Quality Food (SQF)
Ensure a SQF workplace and follow regulatory compliance with Federal FDA – Food Modernization Safety Act (CFR Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, Part 507).
Support Environmental Health and Safety, as well as SQF initiatives and awareness programs.
Be a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture.
Following completion of SQF training, demonstrate understanding of expected safety, SQF performance and Food Safety Culture.
Complete periodic SQF training(s).
Each site location will ensure training is conducted for new employees and continued for existing employees.
Employees will actively participate in audits for regulatory, safety, SQF and environmental compliance at the site.
