About the role
MentorMate is seeking a Senior Account Manager to deliver excellence in our existing customer contracting, retention, and satisfaction efforts. The Senior Account Manager will support the client engagement function within MentorMate and will be responsible for proactively developing one-on-one business relationships within our client base. The Senior Account Manager is also responsible for retaining and growing business with clients which is a key performance metric.
The Senior Account Manager owns the relationship between MentorMate and the client; holding each group accountable to the agreements and managing expectations. This includes managing executive-level client interactions and partnering with cross-functional teams including Sales, Solutions, Delivery, Legal, Finance, and Operations to align resources. The Senior Account Manager will manage proposals, SoW’s, change orders, approvals, and contracting workflows for assigned client accounts. In addition, The Senior Account Manager will assist in tracking and analyzing the metrics associated with our existing customer base. 
We are looking for a candidate who is highly analytical, business savvy, excels at writing and project management, and can partner with key decision-makers to drive successful outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strong cross-organizational team player who can quickly process information from various sources under very tight deadlines. 
Candidates with deep expertise in healthcare, finance/FinTech, or agriculture will have priority.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop a strong understanding of MentorMate, its offerings, and all new initiatives that impact proposal responses
  • Crafting and executing the strategy for engaging and growing each account
  • Proactively identify and drive sales opportunities within assigned account base
  • Identify and deliver healthcare-related insights to clients with the intention of selling additional business and/or building relationships
  • Manage the entire workflow of contract renewals and additional business including contracts, proposals, RFPs, and estimates
  • Arrange and participate in technical and sales presentations to clients as needed
  • Build strong productive relationships with clients as well as internal partners to drive deal efficiency and meet revenue objectives
  • Key communicator role between clients and team leads
  • Responsible for ensuring enterprise-class client and team experience
  • Provide strategic analysis such as margin analysis, account growth plans, travel plan costs, etc.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • The position will require less than 20% travel
  • Curate and conduct quarterly business reviews with clients

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, or related degree preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ years of vertical experience - priority will go to those who have worked in healthcare, finance/FinTech, or agriculture
  • Outstanding analytical skills, including ability to deliver reporting that informs strategic decisions
  • Outstanding communication skills: verbal, written, editing planning
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations on performance, costs, status, etc.
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with leadership teams
  • Proven ability to successfully manage engagements from start to finish
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage changing priorities
  • Excellent cross-organizational skills, including the ability to influence without authority and communicate with senior executives
  • Strong interpersonal and relational aptitude, and team-oriented
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Discretion and a high level of confidentiality are required in this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a software or technical company desired
  • Experience working with offshore remote teams
  • Working knowledge of Hubspot (or similar platform)
