Job Duties

$30,000 Sign on Bonus or $60,000 Student Loan Repayment for eligible new hires

Independently resolves complex medical issues and provides leadership and supervision to all independent clinical staff and various providers. Provides clinical direction to Health Services unit within facility Communicates expectations of staff clearly and relates them to the goals and objectives of the department or unit. This position assures appropriate staff are present and providing care within their area of competency, including coordinating coverage of all independent practitioners and extenders. Develops medical staff bylaws and holds medical staff meetings at least monthly and more frequently when needed. This includes but is not limited to processes for granting privileges, clinical competency assessments, peer reviews and due process for removal of clinical privileges. Provides clinical direction and overall supervision of care delivered by Unit's Interdisciplinary Team consistent with ACA, completion of physical/medical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment in direct patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Medical doctor with a Virginia license

Board eligible/certified in internal medicine, family practice, emergency medicine or other similar medical/surgical specialty

Graduation from an accredited medical school

Considerable active medical treatment and management experience

Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills

Strong management and supervisory skills

Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills

Ability to work cooperatively with the nursing department and the allied health professionals in partnership with the Healthcare Administrator

Possess a Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is required upon hire
