Job Description:
The Design, Training, and Development team aims to optimize the entire professional development (PD) cycle through closely aligning the intent and content of our training experiences (including live and remote synchronous sessions and direct-to-customer asynchronous training experiences) with the capabilities of our Professional Learning Specialists (PLS) to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our goal is to deliver highly impactful, user-centered training experiences that resonate deeply with educators across diverse educational settings.
As the Senior Manager of Digital Professional Development Design & Implementation, you will lead the strategy and execution of Amplify’s asynchronous learning experiences. You will oversee how content is authored, delivered and maintained in a PD resource site, including recommending which types of asynchronous resources are developed, to ensure we are providing standardized, high-quality, engaging, and scalable asynchronous PD that meets educator and school leader needs. You will also develop and execute a clear strategy for authoring new courses and migrating content from existing online courses into our new Learning Management System (LMS), as well as hybrid synchronous and asynchronous offerings, ensuring that all team members responsible for course development are effectively trained in the LMS. Success in this role requires expertise in digital production and instructional design, combined with strong operational excellence and project management to drive impactful, cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Vision and strategy setting: Establish and communicate a clear vision and a standardized, simple and scalable asynchronous PD strategy (ex, asynchronous PD offerings & authoring, LMS capabilities, and migration plans) that aligns with Amplify’s overall professional learning goals.
Team leadership & collaboration: Collaborate and conduct meetings with PD designers and members of the Design, Training and Development team to align on asynchronous PD strategy, best practices and user needs.
Cross-functional leadership & collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to key cross-functional stakeholders (eg, members of our Product, Platform, Insights, Strategy & Development, Marketing, Training & Enablement, Go To Market, and regional teams) to identify opportunities that will enhance the impact of asynchronous PD on customer engagement and retention.
Information alignment: Acquire and communicate key information from different Amplify teams related to our asynchronous PD strategy to keep all teams aligned.
Contractor management: Manage and mentor contractors who will support asynchronous PD accessibility remediation, through regular check-ins and feedback to drive continuous improvement and high performance.
AI strategy development: Lead investigation into AI capabilities, develop recommendations and execute a strategy for leveraging AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of PD design.
Manage Execution & Implementation
Excellence in execution: Lead the end-to-end process of projects including, but not limited to:
Developing standardized asynchronous assets: Gathering stakeholder feedback (ex, customers, PD Delivery teams, PD DDesign teams) in order to recommend a standardized suite of asynchronous assets across all Amplify products
PD resource sites: Developing and maintaining our PD resource sites (ex, PD Libraries, PD prep sites), including designing and authoring pages
