Systems / DevOps Senior Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Create operational guidelines and support a network of external node operators.
• Write, test, and deploy DevOps tooling for our suite of software products, including: 
  • CI automation
  • A secure, verifiable deployment pipeline that assumes untrusted node operators 
  • Decentralized, live network o11y
  • Node software orchestration
• Collaborate with the software engineering team to improve and optimize existing Rust-based tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues.
• Maintain system documentation and ensure systems standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Systems Engineering and/or DevOps role.
• Proficiency in Rust
• Familiarity with Linux fundamentals, networking, systems administration, and security best practices
• Experience with linux server administration and shell scripting
• Experience in software engineering with a focus on network and systems engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for diagnosing and addressing root causes of issues.
• Self-driven asynchronous work style with ability to join sync meetings in North American time zones.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) technology, esp. AMD SEV-SNP
• Previous experience administering on-premises or co-located physical hardware.
• Experience with a HCI solution for bare-metal VM workloads (e.g. Rancher Harvester)
• Experience with the SaltStack and/or Ansible
• Knowledge of Ethereum and smart contracts.
• Experience with Grafana, OpenTelemetry

Salary

At Lit Protocol, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of $120,000 - $220,000 /year, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
