The Opportunity:
As a valued member of our team, you will be the friendly face and voice that helps customers with their parking-related questions and concerns—whether over the phone, at the counter, or through written communication. You’ll play a key role in community outreach, representing our department at tabling events. Your attention to detail will shine as you process parking permit sales, maintain accurate records, and guide customers through our zone parking system.
You’ll be the go-to person for handling parking citation appeals, ensuring each case is processed with care and professionalism. Your accuracy and reliability will be essential as you reconcile your till, assist with cash handling, and prepare the department’s daily deposit.
This role also offers the opportunity to support major university events, where your flexibility and commitment will be appreciated—especially during occasional weekend overtime.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3,495 to $4,653 | Range 39 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Ability and willingness to work overtime including weekends/nights/holidays as needed for university events.
Experience providing customer service
