About the role:
You will be part of the Clinical Business Operations team of Oscar and will be the primary owner of business operations and relationship management for our utilization management delegated partners, including setting the strategy that we deploy with our delegates, while also managing the daily operations, financial performance, and process improvement projects. You will also oversee the implementation of any new delegated vendors for the Utilization Management.
You will report to the Sr. Director of Clinical Strategy and Optimization. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote
The potential base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $132,000 - $173,250. The potential base pay for this role in all other locations is: $118,800 -$155,925.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve delegate vendor oversight strategy including determining new specialities, markets and vendors to work with
- Oversee short-term and long-term partner performance against targets, work with delegated partners to improve performance and report findings out to Oscar partners
- Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs and/or improve member experience through contracting projects, operational improvements, or otherwise
- Understand the important data and reports from delegated network partners and work to identify trends that could be used to improve these partnerships
- Partner with other teams such as Data Science, Finance, Tech, Product, Government Affairs, and other regional teams to increase results for necessary projects
- Comfortable managing a team
- Evaluate strategic vendor partners, and manage end-to-end relationships from diligence through contracting, launch and ongoing operational support
Requirements:
- 6+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and/or related field
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in a client-facing role and leading large-scale cross functional initiatives
- Experience improving processes and workflows
- Comfortable working with data and making data-backed decisions
Bonus points:
- Master's degree
- Experience with vendor management in the healthcare industry or utilization management

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
