About the role

This position provides shift accountability through leadership and technical advice on the daily operation of the area. Maintains continuity of care through accurate shift reports, appropriate distribution of personnel resources, participation in performance assessment and improvement, review of equipment and supply management and observation of staff performance. This position will act as a respiratory care clinical and equipment resource to the department, and other healthcare practitioners.
• Requires Associates degree in Respiratory Care. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
• Requires current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
• Requires RRT credential by the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).
• Requires Healthcare Provider certification in BLS.
• Requires ACLS; PALS; and/or NRP certification according to your base of work. Must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
•Requires 2 years minimum clinical experience. Leadership experience preferred.
• Requires Critical Care experience.
• Requires ability to use independent judgement and discretion.
• Requires the ability to demonstrate leadership skills and behaviors.
• Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
