Job Summary
Cboe's Data Vantage business is seeking a highly motivated Senior Market Data Sales Executive to drive revenue growth through the sale of Cboe market data products to institutional clients, broker-dealers, hedge funds, retail brokers, market data vendors and other financial institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue through the sale of Cboe Market Data products.
- Identify new sales opportunities in assigned territory and initiate/manage sales dialog with both current clients and new logo prospects through cold-calling, e-mail and various other prospecting efforts.
- Meet and exceed sales quotas through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities.
- Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales and move a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Product Management, Marketing, and Client Engagement teams, to build pipeline and deliver solutions that meet client requirements and differentiate Cboe's offerings in the marketplace.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to anticipate market opportunities and potential challenges.
- Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and key performance metrics to Sales Manager using Salesforce.
- Represent Cboe at industry conferences, trade shows, and client events to enhance brand awareness and foster new business opportunities.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Quantifiable track record of success in B2B consultative solutions sales, with a focus on financial markets (Specifically market data and/or trading technology).
- Strong understanding of financial markets (equities, options, indices, market data), trading workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Established contact base and influence within target financial institutions is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence key decision-makers and build trusted internal and external relationships.
- Ability to identify prospects, lead through the sales process and convert new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated, driven, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
- Proficient in pipeline management and forecasting
- Travel requirements: up to 25% of time
- Previous experience working within a data/software vendor, exchange, or trading firm.
- Minimum Years of Work Experience: 8
- Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor Degree
