Position Summary:
The Business Systems Specialist will work closely with all departments within the company. This role will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and implementing comprehensive solutions within our ERP system to support our business model. This role will work with our EDI and API solutions to ensure accuracy of information. The Business Systems Specialist will have a deep understanding of our systems to ensure optimization for efficiency, scalability and user satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage company ERP, EDI and API Maps to ensure accurate data, systems functioning, and system improvements.
- Monitor ERP tickets and EDI transactions, identifying errors or discrepancies, and troubleshooting issues to ensure system accuracy and functioning.
- Assist in managing ERP, EDI and API integration projects including implementation and enhancements.
- Manage and prioritize open requests, develop a priority system, and maintain reporting on all open requests.
- Act as a subject matter expert for ERP, EDI and API on all transactions/modules relating to sales, operations, and distribution.
- Work cross functionally to gather business requirements, analyze business processes, and implement effective solutions.
- Analyze and systematically improve company data leading to process and performance improvement.
- Provide support and training to end users.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- BS Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Prior CRM, ERP, EDI and API experience required.
- NetSuite experience required.
- Experience with EDI mapping tools and technologies.
- Experience working with API integrations and web services.
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g, ANSI x12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP).
- Proficient in troubleshooting EDI transactions and resolving issues on time.
- Strong analytical skills including data entry, reporting and creative problem solving.
- Detail orientation with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence others.
- Strong business acumen.
