Senior Back-End Engineer (Python)

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Senior Back-End Engineer, to join our Development Team in Italy.

Your impact

As a Senior Back End Engineer, you will report to the Back-End Engineering Manager within Beefree’s Development Team. You will collaborate with other development teams in order to improve services useful for the proper functioning of the Beefree ecosystem.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• participate in the analysis and development of appropriate solutions to respond to customer needs on a roadmap defined by our Product Team.
• collaborate with other Group teams supporting them in QA activities, second level support tickets, technical documentation, creation of sample code, etc.

Technical requirements:

• You have knowledge of Python 3
• You have knowledge of the Django Web Framework and/or Nodejs Framework
• You have experience with AWS services, including: Fargate, CloudFront, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch
• You have experience in REST API
• You have experience with Git versioning system

Preferred requirements:

• You appreciate a source-control branching model, where developers collaborate in short-lived branches leaning towards a single branch model. We appreciate experience in this approach
• You have knowledge of Database: PostgreSQL
• You have knowledge of Docker
• You are able to write unit tests and end-to-end tests
• You have experience in drafting technical documentation

Location & Travel

• You will join our Italy-based Development team. We have offices in Cremona & Milano, but you can also choose to work remotely, depending on where you are. If you do work remotely, we will ask you to be flexible about joining the rest of the team in our Cremona or Milano offices from time to time for in-person meetings and workshops.

• Some travel will be required for our yearly team retreat(s). Between travel and meeting time, the retreat typically requires about a week of your time. We will provide ample notice so that you can plan for it.
